Valpreet is the newest IT Analyst at Freemans Grattan Holdings (FGH) having only just graduated from university, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t already leading projects and helping to shape the IT offer already!

Although she has only just graduated, Valpreet is not strictly new to FGH having spent her university placement year working within the IT team. Valpreet enjoyed her year in industry so much that she couldn’t wait to come back as a full-time employee and is now an integral part of the team. Valpreet even managed to find time to keep her hand in at FGH by working part-time once she went back to do her final year.

Her role is really varied and so far, she has worked on a project to develop and introduce a Sharepoint for the busy Project Management Office, a tool that is helping them to run more efficiently and effectively as a team. Her focus going forward is all about the modern workforce and looking at the development and introduction of workplace tools to enhance employee experience and drive workplace productivity.

It was clear that Valpreet was both passionate about IT and modern technology and she has a real love of using technology to improve and support the development of the business. Technology is at the hear of retail and the customer experience and Valpreet is incredibly excited about the role she has to play in ensuring the technology she works on helps to meet the needs of the customers she serves.

For Valpreet it was all about gaining as much experience as possible and she urges anyone thinking of a career in IT to do the same!
